Collection: Oriental Art

's-Hertogenbosch is a beautiful small town in the southern Netherlands with a population of nearly 150,000. A few years ago, during the COVID-19 pandemic, clinics were closed for a while, and I stumbled upon a flea market in this small town that boasted a wealth of ancient Asian art. Over the years, I collected some of these and shared them online. It wasn't until later that I discovered that this small town actually boasts the best Chinese antique shop in the Netherlands. It wasn't until today that I realized that the Netherlands, a European trading powerhouse with a 400-year history, has a long history of collecting Oriental art.
